Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Dr. Hey graduated from Texas A&M 
University in 1998. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2002. After graduating, he moved to Colorado and has been in practice for 19 years.
Dr. Hey is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Colorado Optometric Association, and the Leadership Optometry Program of the Colorado Optometric Association, as well as a Legislative Key Person for the COA.
Dr. Hey specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical co-management of several eye diseases, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. He is a Certified Wave Lens Designer and has a particular interest in orthokeratology and scleral contact lens fitting.
